Saludos Brown Latino Alumni,

We are pleased to invite you to view BULAC’s Fiscal Year 2012-13 Annual Report! We are so proud of what we have been able to accomplish over the past year and are excited to build upon our rich history and accomplishments.

We know that none of the work we do on behalf of the BULAC community would be possible without the support of all of you. We are profoundly grateful for your continued commitment and look forward to keeping you engaged in the future. Our hope is that this report will give you a clear picture of who we are and what we have accomplished, but also gives you a vision for where we are going.

If you have any questions, comments or would like more information on any of our initiatives, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.

Thanks again for your belief in our community and all that we do!

Ever true,
Your BULAC Officers

Juan Carlos Mora ’15: The first-ever recipient of the BULAC Endowed Scholarship

Posted on: Sep 11th, 2013

Juan Carlos Mora, a Mexican American freshman from Pomona, CA is doing very well at Brown and has already taken on a leadership role as the freshman representative to M.E.Ch.A and is a vocalist for Mariachi de Brown, Brown’s official mariachi band. He is also involved in the Interpreters Aid Program at Rhode Island Hospital where he volunteers his time assisting doctors and patients with English/Spanish translations. Juan Carlos has an interest in attending Medical School in the future.

Juan Carlos shared that if it weren’t for the BULAC Endowed Scholarship, he would not have been able to afford to attend Brown. We would like to express our gratitude to the generous community of alumni that came together to make this scholarship available to Juan Carlos. We should be very proud of our community and continue our generosity and support into the future so that Juan Carlos and many other Latino and Hispanic students can have the same opportunities.
